Zoom is equipped with an automatic indexing module able to analyze the semantic structure and to identify the kernels of meaning (references) found in the various texts of a structure of folders. Only the essential information is retained: this is why Information Retrieval is both fast and accurate.
The result of this processing is stored into "index" files that are created inside the folders containing the text files. It is necessary to allow enough available space on your hard drive (20 to 40% of the total size of the texts) for the software to work correctly.
You must (re-) build the index of your folder:
Indexing is an essential operation in order for the creation of a first search engine structure on a folder. The process is usually very fast on a small collection of files (a few thousands), but it can take up to several hours if you index hundreds of thousands of documents.
